During traditional tattoo removal, steam-filled vacuoles, or bubbles, develop during the laser treatment process. These bubbles cling to the ink particles in your skin. The sound waves generated by the RESONIC device break them apart and disperse more ink particles. This significantly speeds up the process of tattoo removal.

RESONIC causes no breaks or additional damage to the skin, which allows for multiple laser treatment passes in a single session. This ultimately reduces the total number of sessions that are needed to get rid of the tattoo fully and completely.

Laser and RESONIC work together

RESONIC is an FDA-approved, non-invasive device that works together with the Q-Switched or Pico laser. First the laser is applied to your tattoo. Next, we place the RESONIC device on the skin, using it to do three things: disperse microscopic particles of ink, disrupt the cells that absorb the tattoo ink, and break apart the steam-filled vacuoles under the skin.

RESONIC treatment aftercare

After your treatments, there is no need for a recovery period or downtime, but we do have some aftercare tips.

When needed, wash gently with soap and water. Use Aquaphor for any irritation.
