New CoolMini™ Applicator Targets Small Pockets of Fat
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has just given expanded clearance to medical technology company ZELTIQ® Aesthetics, Inc., for its new CoolSculpting® applicator. Designed to target small, stubborn areas of fat on the body with the same levels of quality found in CoolSculpting procedures, the CoolMini™ has a shape, style and size that make it easier to get into tight, hard-to-reach areas like the neck. This is why the device can be ideal for treating problem areas like a double chin. Treatments with this new applicator are noninvasive and comfortable, and patients have little to no downtime after undergoing a procedure. In fact, most patients can return to normal activities immediately following treatment.
To date, there have already been over 500 CoolMini treatments performed. In the clinical trials, pilot clinical work and a controlled European launch, the device has been shown to yield noticeable results in as little as three weeks, with the most impressive changes being seen one to three months after treatment.
Coolspa, as New York’s foremost and busiest CoolSculpting provider, is proud to announce that we will be the first practice in the New York area to offer CoolMini treatments, likely before the end of October. We already have a waiting list of existing Coolspa patients awaiting this new and exciting applicator. We recommend that anyone interested in permanent and noninvasive reduction of those small stubborn fatty bulges contact Coolspa to schedule a complimentary evaluation.
